The Phil Positive Story and the
Train he travels on.
“I’m going to be an electrician just like my neighbor.”
Phil Bronson was inspired at the age of six in the summer of 1966 to be an electrician and then with encouragement through the years developed the aspirations to move forward with his Dreams & Goals.
Phil was inspired during the summer of 1966 on his front porch on the far South Side of Chicago, IL in a community called Altgeld Gardens, as his father took a short break from reading the Chicago Tribune newspaper.
Phil’s father gave him advice in 1966 when he began to dream of being an electrician.
He said, “If you stay Fair, Decent & Honest you will always SHINE“.
As Phil’s dream continued, he eventually started his 1st year Apprenticeship as an electrician in 1979 with the I.B.E.W. Local Union 134 at Washburne Trade School in Chicago. The apprenticeship program involved classroom training which consisted of blueprint reading, electrical codes, circuitry, conduit bending, and actual construction job-site applications. (An American Dream in America’s Building Construction Industry).
Phil started working on all types of construction projects in the Chicago Metropolitan areas at airports, hospitals, institutions, commercial buildings, retail stores and high-rise residential buildings. While working on construction projects with skilled electricians, estimators and project managers, Phil was able to acquire the knowledge and insights on business and field operations.
“Anything Positive is Possible”
Phil and his family started their own Electrical Contracting business in 1991 right out of their basement and garage.
The TEI Team represents our office personnel, field electricians and technicians performing diligently and professionally on countless construction projects. We provide value to our clients with quality electrical services and we appreciate the opportunities. Collectively we move forward on a Positive path with TEI’s goals, vision, and mission with momentum and persistence to continue to build on our legacy.
“I personally want to say Thank You to my family, friends and the people who I’ve enjoyed working with over the years and anyone who has helped me and encouraged me to follow my dreams. So many of you have affected me in a positive way since day one as a 1st year apprentice electrician.
Because you too are a part of, and at the heart of, any success that we’ve been able to achieve.”
Thank you,
Phil Bronson
In 2021, TEI celebrated its 30th year in the Electrical Construction Industry.
